Take Action

By leveraging the opportunities that education can bring, we help Malawians help themselves

Warm Hearts of Africa is a charity  founded by Michael Gregson and Matthew Steele, two friends and former colleagues who undertook short term humanitarian missions in Malawi, assisting an HIV/AIDS volunteer organization. Upon returning to Canada in August of 2006, after their first stint, they felt the need to empower those with whom they had just worked. From these humble beginnings, the movement was set in motion across the country. Through early goals of small business development, improvement in education, targeted investment in future leaders, promoting initiatives to support women,  and the strengthening of health care, we have helped Malawians to help themselves.

Our current focus in on our partnership with the Maeve Ila Academy.  All funds raised support school programs including our food and bursary program for needy young people.

From Vancouver to Kitchener, from Toronto to Montreal, people have attended and supported Warm Hearts of Africa events and initiatives. A dedicated team of volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to make these events successful.
